At Stony Brook, we spend a lot of time in developing community. The center of our community life are small groups that gather regularly in homes — Home-Based Fellowships. These groups are made up of ordinary people of all ages and circumstances who meet and pray together around God’s Word, share in each other’s joys and struggles and serve together. They also often have fun and meals together!

Children and Youth
We strive to be a church where children and youth learn about God while feeling cared for and loved. The school building in which we meet provides an informal setting which many children and young adults like. Our members also work hard to cultivate an atmosphere of spirituality, safety, nurture and respect for all our children. Our programs for various ages of children are meant to supplement but not to replace the Christian education within the home. Sunday School meets at 9 AM, while our Youth Group meets at varied times. |
Adults
We have men and women's programs that meet from time to time for fellowship, study and service. While our particular programs for men and women vary from year to year, what is important are our underlying values of caring for one another and serving Christ.
